New Zealand- Auckland and the Bay of Islands...

Went on a free day trip round Auckland with a company called Stray... was amazing and we saw lots! Our first stop was the Sky Tower... where they were giving away a free sky jump... to win you had to play heads and tails, and Claire got into the final two!! But unfortunately didn't quite win - was soo close! Also went to a cool pub, some scenic views and lastly walked across the harbour bridge (we had to be clipped on) where we watched members of our group bungee off! Claire was quite tempted...!
One day (losing track of time and days we did things!!!) we went on a ferry - thankfully for Claire it only took 10mins! - to Devonport. That was cool... we walked up two big mountains (impressive, hey??!), wandered round, and went to a chocolate factory, where we even got free samples - delicious!
We headed off to Paihia in the Bay of Islands on the Magic Bus, where we stayed for a few days. We met some really lovely people in our room - Casper, Mark and the fishing guy (We think his name was Michael!) and went to an awesome gig with them.
The next day we got up early... and Claire went sky diving!! Sophie found it fab to watch her - it was pretty awesome to see a blob up in the sky falling from a plane from 12,000 feet, knowing the blob was actually Claire!! Claire thought it was really cool and some awesome views from the sky, though wasn't as scary as she thought!! So is now looking for a more adrenaline filled activity!
The same day, we went on a 15km walk (be proud of us!) to Haruru Falls... it was really pretty, and we walked over Mangrove swamps and a scary bridge - which was missing lots of planks :s but thankfully we were paying lots of attention, so we didn't fall in the drink!
That evening we sat with beers (!) - actually didn't taste so bad - with Casper and Richie and chatted for ages, until we got kicked out by a security guard!!
Today we headed back on the Magic Bus to Auckland - was a cool day (but very long, and many many windy roads!) we saw the biggest tree in New Zealand, which was pretty cool, and stopped in a really lush cafe with amazing cake mmmmm!
Heading down south tomorrow - first stop is Whitianga! (Very hard to pronounce!)
